José Luis Hernandez relocated his family in 2004 from Chicago’s suburbs to Indianapolis Indiana with big dreams of providing service to the then a small Hispanic community. He opened the first Mi Mexico off 42nd and Franklin in 2004 and has since been open. After his abrupt death in 2012 of cancer, Ivan Hernandez, his son, took over the family business. Carnicerías Mi Mexico is not only Ivan’s fathers dream but his legacy that Ivan proudly continues. We plan to open a second location for Carnicería Mi Mexico (30th and German church) this summer. We hope to continue to expand and provide for our community.

Carnicería Mi Mexico offers wide variety of Hispanic/ethnic food items as well as your everyday grocery needs. Not only do we offer Fresh produce, dairy products and a vast variety of fresh meats, we also offer pinatas, shampoo, detergent, and bakery products. Our priority is to offer excellent service and the best quality foods. We are your local go to shop for all of your needs. Aside from servicing the community we are committed to being involved and love to support local organizations and sports. We believe strongly in this community and the people in it!
